The star midfielder Played in a high role on the right and did plenty of defensive duties. Displayed moments of class and dragged an effort wide. Replaced towards the end for Rogers, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's top opening of the first half, his effort smartly stopped from Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate hanging back, he had to provide width out wide although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The match-winner scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes at international level. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and the second an excellent headed goal following a clever run off his defender. At 32, his form is unwavering and England are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament with him leading the line. 8

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play from the left. Had a presentable chance following a pass from a teammate however the keeper made the save. Rashford had a greater effect when substituted. 5/10
