Fast bowler Gus Atkinson Exacerbates England's Injury Worries.

'Significant concern' for the English camp after Atkinson goes off suffering a hamstring problem.

The pace bowler added to England's injury problems upon exiting the field on the second morning of the fourth Ashes Test in the Ashes series.

The right-arm seamer pulled up with his left hamstring post-delivery of the fourth over at the MCG.

The England team stated Atkinson had experienced "tightness" and would spend time away from the action to undergo evaluation "during the day".

The series decider of the series at the SCG begins at the end of the week.

England have been without key quicks Mark Wood with a knee problem and Jofra Archer to a side strain during this series.

A replacement bowler was added to the party to provide backup.

The seamer had a tough time during the first two matches, claiming a mere three wickets.

He was dropped of the third Test, only to be brought back for the Boxing Day match as Archer's replacement.

Atkinson performed better in the fourth Test, taking two wickets during the host's first knock, before adding 28 as a batsman as one of just three teammates who passed ten runs.

After bowling one over at the end of day one, he returned the next day and dismissed the nightwatchman edging to the keeper.

However, on the final ball of his spell, he bowled a change of pace to the batsman and immediately felt at his leg.

Gus Atkinson was recalled for the fourth Ashes Test having missed of the third.
